Data Collection and Storage

Omnitask operates on a local-first principle:

  • All your tasks, goals, habits, and personal data are stored locally on your device
  • We use Firebase for optional cloud backup and sync across your devices
  • No personal data is shared with third parties or used for advertising
  • We do not collect analytics, tracking data, or usage statistics
Canvas Calendar Integration

When you choose to connect your Canvas calendar:

  • We fetch your read-only Canvas calendar using a secret URL you provide
  • We do not require Canvas login credentials or API keys
  • Your calendar link is stored securely in your device's Keychain
  • Calendar events are stored locally on your device only
  • You may disconnect at any time, which immediately deletes all stored data

Sensitive data like Canvas URLs are stored in iOS Keychain with device-level encryption

All local data is protected by iOS's built-in encryption
