Omnitask operates on a local-first principle:
- All your tasks, goals, habits, and personal data are stored locally on your device
- We use Firebase for optional cloud backup and sync across your devices
- No personal data is shared with third parties or used for advertising
- We do not collect analytics, tracking data, or usage statistics
When you choose to connect your Canvas calendar:
- We fetch your read-only Canvas calendar using a secret URL you provide
- We do not require Canvas login credentials or API keys
- Your calendar link is stored securely in your device's Keychain
- Calendar events are stored locally on your device only
- You may disconnect at any time, which immediately deletes all stored data
